GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB

Landscape architect is responsible for developing and designing the urban realm along and around the metro extensions, being involved from upstream studies to detailed design.

 

MAIN DUTIES OF THE POST

• Upstream studies : urban integration of heavy transport systems / pedestrian and cycle schemes / urban regeneration / public realm strategy

• Concept design : streetscape including a metro / urban realm consistency / consistency with other developments / General planting schemes

• Detail design : paving elements / street furniture including tramstops canopies design principles / Planting plans and choice of species

• Planning issues : to produce and explain all the relevant documents for project approval

• Drawing production : models (2D/3D) and drawings / BIM transition expected

• To specify the best possible urban integration for the metro extensions

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

• M.Eng or MSc in landscape architecture or Town Planning / MA architecture

Knowledge, Experience and Key Attributes

• Knowledge : placemaking / botanic and ecology / transport / CAD production

• Experience 5+ years in an architecture or landcape architecture practice
