The Midland Metro Alliance joined a host of other local organisations to sponsor the Talent Match Black Country ‘Two Years On’ Celebration and Awards, held on 21 October 2016 at Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton.
Over the last two years, mentors at Talent Match Black Country have engaged and supported over 450 young people to overcome barriers, gain confidence, develop new skills, access volunteering and work placement opportunities, as well as gain and sustain employment.
Rose Rees, the Midland Metro Alliance Training and Development Manager, said: “We were delighted to be part of these celebrations and I have to say, it was both inspiring and humbling to hear these young people’s stories. Many of them have overcome significant barriers to become ‘shining stars’. At the Midland Metro Alliance, we are committed to leaving a lasting, positive legacy and look forward to working with Talent Match Black Country and other similar organisations over the next decade.”
